Newsletter PRISM is a newsletter mailed each month to keep you up to date on SDWS activities and news about members.

Membership As a member you are entitled to the following benefits:

The opportunity to exhibit your artwork in the SDWS Gallery
Use of an extensive library, including books, magazines, videos, slides from past International Exhibitions and information about other art related events.
The opportunity to utilize work areas with equipment for mat cutting, shrink wrap, and VCR viewing. Shrink wrap, mats and foam core available at reduced cost.
Prism newsletter
Weekly Paint-Outs
Art oriented trips and seminars
Discounts at SDWS Workshops
Discounts on art supplies
Monthly demonstrations
Resource room with mat corners, art supply and framing catalogs and our bulletin board with notices of shows, exhibitions and other pertinent art-related information.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

The San Diego Watercolor Society has varying levels of membership. These levels are designed to increase membership, foster family participation, encourage young artists to join and to recognize and reward generosity.

The Individual, Family, College Student and Junior Member levels receive all of the member benefits listed above.

The Friends of SDWS level includes the above, plus:

Free International and Western Federation Show catalogs.
Recognition in the PRISM newsletter and Membership Roster
Special invitations to the International Show
Letter of thanks with wording for tax purposes

The Patron of the Arts level includes all of the above, plus:

His/Her name, for that year, on a plaque prominently displayed at the Gallery

The Benefactor level includes all of the above, plus:

Name will be placed on the plaque for three (3) years

The Distinguished Benefactor level will be bestowed on persons making a donation of $5000 or more and will include all of the above, plus:

Name will be permanently displayed on a plaque at the Gallery

Note: Persons donating at the Benefactor level will be recognized as Distinguished Benefactors when their cumulative donations total $5000.

Dues are annual and cover the period from October 1 through September 30. If membership is not renewed by October 15, the membership becomes inactive and the name is removed from the SDWS database.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Individual:	$55 annually
Family: adds a second name (in the same household) to the membership.	$70 annually
College student (18 -25):	$20 annually
Junior (Under 18):	$15 annually
Half Year (New Member only)	$27 after April 1

DONOR CATEGORIES

$100-$499	Friend of SDWS
$500-$999	Patron of the Arts
$1,000-$4,999	Benefactor
$5,000+	Distinguished Benefactor
