Saturday Morning Painters - Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad
No leader, no roll call, no fees. All are welcome, beginners, as well as experienced plein air painters. Luis Juarez will be the demo artist.
Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park, 6200 Flying Leo Carrillo Lane, Carlsbad, CA 760-476-1042
Directions: From Highway 8 Take 805 North. It turns into 5 North. Take exit 44, La Costa Ave Turn Right. Then turn Left onto El Camino Real. Right onto Alga Road. Left onto Melrose Drive. Left onto Carrillo Way. Right onto Flying Carrillo Lane. Please allow yourself enough time to get there by 9:00am. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour of drive time to get there. We will begin the paintout at 9:30 since the park opens at 9:00. The demo will start promptly at 9:30 with the critique at 1:00PM If you are unsure of how to get to the location please feel free to call the park. Also be sure to bring your lunch and drinks.
The park gate does not open until 9:00am. Please do not come early as the park opens at 9am and they specifically asked us not to line up in the cul-de-sac at the gate with our cars! I go past the entrance into the neighborhood and park down there until the park opens. There is plenty of time to get ready for the demo if you arrive at 9am.
