Saturday Morning Painters - The large tree near Spanish Village in Balboa Park
The demo artist will be Luis Juarez.
The paintout location will be in the area of the Moreton Bay Fig Lawn, 1770 Village Place--situated between the Natural History Museum and Spanish Village in Balboa Park. The fig tree was planted in preparation for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. It is estimated to be one hundred years old and is listed in the California Registry of Big Trees. This location has endless ideas for our artistic compositions and is one of Luis favorite locations to paint!
Directions: Take 163 SOUTH and exit onto PARK BLVD. Turn LEFT onto PARK BLVD and head North. The Park is on your Left past the Natural History Museum. The paintout starts promptly at 9AM with a critique at 12:30 PM. Get there early for prime parking and pack your car the night before for a stress free day! Map
