…Drew Bandish
A lifelong learner himself, Drew appreciates that teaching, demonstrating techniques and preparing lessons have accelerated his own art skills and enhanced his visual perception and creativity. He enjoys interpreting all manner of subjects: landscapes, portraits, animals, flowers, from observation, memory and imagination.
Creative process:
Remain open, expecting that ideas will flow.
Interpret life’s experiences. That’s art with purpose.
Plein air, imagination or photos all provide effective visual resources.
Regardless of the art media, different subjects can be expressed with attention to universal design principles and elements.
Look. Think. Paint.
Brush mileage is important.
Make regular time for your creative expression,
either in a class or meet up or on your own.
Plein Air painting, too.
