People, Places, and Perspective

Artwork by Ron Stock.  Artwork by Ron Stock

Instructor: Ron Stocke

In this three day watercolor workshop we will focus on the elements that help painters loosen up their painting style while retaining their personal artistic fingerprint. Students will learn how to see their painting before they put the brush on the palette and follow through with that plan to the end. Creating strong focal points and emotion within their work.

  • Painting figures - Learn to draw and paint figures that feel natural and connected to the environment around them.
  • Places (Capturing the mood of your subject)- Whether you are painting a quiet corner of your favorite room, a busy cafe or a grand vista, learn how to approach these places with the right energy and edited intent that will produce a stronger painting.
  • Perspective - Don’t lose a good painting to bad perspective. Ron will show students a simple and easy way to get your perspective correct before you start painting.

Experience Level - All levels welcome

Note that the dates of the workshop are different than in our printed materials.
