In this workshop, Stephen Zhang will share his process of painting both portrait and landscape. He will introduce his painting technique with loose brush strokes while creating a captivating atmosphere and personality. The four-day workshop will be divided into two parts, giving two days each to focus on portrait and landscape.

STEPHEN ZHANG

Stephen Zhang is known for his unique approaches to watercolor. His portrait and landscape paintings are visually rich and emotionally profound. 

Born in China, Stephen graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. Later, he received his MFA degree from University of North Texas. Stephen is an assistant professor at University of North Texas. 

Stephen’s paintings have been included or awarded by Signature American Watermedia International Exhibition, Chinese National Art Exhibition, Art Olympia (Japan), Infiniti National Art Competition, Watermedia Showcase, Watercolor USA, Transparent Watercolor Society of American, Watercolor West, Splash, and American Illustration. He has been featured in publications such as American Art Collector, International Artist, Watercolor Artist, The Art of Watercolor, Art and Design, and Pratique Des Arts.
