Artist Lana Privitera, AWS, NWS, TWSA Lessons Not Learned
Originally from Spain, Lana Privitera graduated in 1983 from the Fine Arts School of Zaragoza, where she majored in Fashion Design and Art History. After working in Advertising for a few years, she moved to the USA in the early 1990s.Mrs. Privitera is known for her colorful and highly realistic watercolor Still Lifes.
In recent years, her paintings have gathered a long list of top awards both in National and International art competitions. Her works have traveled to Invitationals in Greece, Italy, Spain, Russia, Canada, The Netherlands, and a few others.
Her work has also been featured in many occasions in diverse prestigious publications, both in the USA and abroad.: “Watercolor Artist” Magazine, “Plein Air” Magazine, “L’art de L’Acquarelle” Magazine, “Pratique des Arts” Magazine, and UK’s “Arts & Illustrators magazine” January 2024, which features her in “The Big Interview”.
Her watercolor “Lessons not learned” is also the cover for the in the “Watercolor Artist Magazine” Spring 2024 issue. Her works can be found in SPLASH 21, 22, 24 & 25.
She is a Signature Member of many leading Art Societies in the USA, including the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA Honor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society and the North East Watercolor Society.
Mrs. Privitera has been an art instructor for over 15 years and offers Workshops and Demos online and in person in the USA and across the World.
