We are honored to have Thomas W. Schaller, an award-winning master artist, provide the watercolor demonstration at the San Diego Watercolor Society’s July member meeting.
The meeting will be held on July 7, 2019 at 1pm at the San Diego Watercolor Society in Education Center.
Thomas W Schaller is an award-winning artist, architect, author, and instructor based in Los Angeles. He has authored three books Architecture in Watercolor; The Art of Architectural Drawing, and in 2018, Thomas W Schaller, Architect of Light : Watercolor Paintings by a Master by Northlight Books.Artist Network has produced two series of instructional DVDs of his technique.
His work has been featured in watercolor masters’ exhibitions in over 20 counties and is in private and public collections around the world including The Johhan Museum of Art, Shanghai: The Watermark Museum, Fabriano: The Tchoban Foundation, Berlin: The National Museum of Watercolor, Mexico City: The Pacific Arts Foundation, Newport Beach.
A Signature Member of many arts organizations including the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, andTransparent Watercolor Society of America, Tom is a Brand Ambassadorfor Daniel Smith,was appointed to the Advisory Board of American Watercolor, and elected Artist Memberof the California Art Club and the Salmagundi Art Club, NYC.
A two-time recipient of the Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize andpresident emeritus of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators, he isa founding member of North American Watercolor Artists.
