Congratulations to Marilyn Miles, the September Volunteer of the Month! Marilyn has been a member of SDWS for 4 years, and stepped up as a volunteer almost from day one. As a front-desk staffer, she was an excellent spokesperson for our organization with her efficient yet personable way of dealing with patrons and the various duties of working at our front desk. Soon she was identified as someone who had great potential! When it was decided to reorganize the functional structure of our Workshops, Marilyn stepped up and has devoted countless hours to the planning and implementation of our training program for Workshop volunteers. In addition, she kept impeccable records of registrations, evaluations, instructor agreements, and all the many, many changes that had to be made when we had to cancel our in-gallery workshops and convert to Zoom workshops due to the pandemic. I can’t think of anyone who deserves this honor more!
