Carla Scheidlinger is a conscientious and unique volunteer. As our membership show publicity coordinator, she is a dedicated, behind the scenes writer. She is always willing to use her talents to promote our gallery and artists. Carla works with jurors every month to capture their comments to put into a power point presentation for the general meeting. She also writes the newspaper articles for the monthly member show’s award winner which offers recognition for the artist and for our society.  Carla’s article, “An Emerging Artist’s Journey” describes her rise from a dabbling painter to an award-winning artist as a SDWS member. Her article promotes the positive influence SDWS had on her confidence and artistic growth. She encourages readers who want to be a “real” artist to join our organization.
