Tom Brown is one of our newest members in the San Diego Watercolor Society SDWS). Originally from Englewood, Colorado, he presently lives in Fairview, Texas. Although Tom has no formal art training, his paintings, which often feature rural scenes with old, dilapidated barns and outbuildings, have earned him the status of Signature Member of the Southwestern Watercolor Society. Through this group, he connected with Chuck McPherson, who encouraged him to become a member of SDWS. Tom describes himself as an artist who “documents rural America”, implementing a style that is representational and somewhere between realism and impressionism. In addition to painting, Tom enjoys fly fishing.
Welcome, Tom! (And thanks, Chuck, for reaching out to expand our membership!)
